Bernard H. Jensen, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully December 2, 2011, with his loving family at his side.
He was born December 12, 1927, in Tipler, Wisconsin, a son of the late Harry and Viola Plumley Jensen. Bernard was married to the former Rosaria (Rose) Amici; she died August 31, 2010. He formerly worked for Rockford's Auto Glass, retiring years ago. He proudly served in the United Sates Air Force.
Bernard is survived by children and step-children, Janet Peck and Mark Seymour of Rome, Linda and Dave Connolly of Rome, Francine Morrison and Keith Platt of New Hartford, Bonnie LeRoy and Roger Deraway of New Hartford, Rosaria and Ernest Zeppieri of Camden, Wanda Ganbrill and Larry Ingalls of Cleveland, NY, and Walter and Betty Supernaw of Camden; 3 sisters and a brother in law, Lois Lavender of Rhinelander, WI, Rip and Barbara Rapinski of Hawaii, and Leigh Ann Jensen of Beaver Dam, WI; a brother and sister in law, Ronald and Connie Jensen of Eugene, OR, several grandchildren, including Teshia Peck and Gregory Peck, who were at Bernard's side when he passed, and several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, Roger Supernaw.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 7:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
