Kronafel, age 76, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2024, with her loving husband, Michael, by her side. Barb was born in Syracuse on October 4, 1948, to the late John and Josephine Gaca Polak. On April 21, 1979, her and Michael Kronafel Jr. were united in marriage. Barb worked for Nationwide Insurance as a clerk. Barb enjoyed crafts and baking. She was a homebody and enjoyed time spent with her family and pets, especially her cats. Barb is survived by her loving husband, Michael; son, Jonathan (Kristyn) Kronafel of Oriskany; grandchildren, McKenzie and Nathan; her sisters in law, Joanne (Cas) Pietrowicz of Cicero, Carol (Ron) Werbeck of Liverpool, and Carol Polak of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John D. Polak. Barb’s services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
