Antionette Muttillo
Antionette Muttillo, age 90, Rome, passed away April 11, 2001, in Rome Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side.
She was born February 1, 1921, in Taurianova, Italy, a daughter of Gioachino and Maria Sculllino Aiello. Antionette was united in marriage to Angelo Muttillo on November 18, 1939, at the Church of St. John the Baptist; he died January 7, 2000. She was employed as a lingerie buyer at the former Goldberg's Clothing Store, in Rome. She was a member of the Church of St. John the Baptist.
Antionette was an expert seamstress and a gourmet cook; she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and loved working in her garden; but her most precious love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Antionette is survived by a daughter and son in law, Vincenza A. and Angelo C. D'Ambrosi of Rome; a son and daughter in law, Ronald A and Janette L. Muttillo of Rome; sisters and brothers in law, Jenny and Antonio Pettinelli of Rome, Sarah Lanzafame of Rome, and Marie and Carmen Favata of Rome; a sister in law, Frances Aiello of Rome; a brother in law, Jack Rotolo of Rome; grandchildren, Mark D'Ambrosi, Cheryl Ann Goebel and her husband, William, Wendy Marie Hadley and her husband,
Douglas, Mary Elizabeth Rim and her husband, Brian, and Brandon R. Muttillo and Brittany Jacobs; great grandchildren, Marissa Ann Goebel, Sabrina Marie Goebel, Chloe Antionette Goebel, Leisie McHale Muttillo, Briell Antionette Muttillo and Lolen Ronald Muttillo; and a special loved one, Matthew Muttillo. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Rotolo, and two brothers, Dominick "Pep" Aiello and John Aiello.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:15 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and 9:00 AM at the Church of St. John the Baptist. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 4 to 8 PM.
