Ann Bernadette McKiernan, age 76, of Pittsburgh, PA and formerly of Rome, NY passed away on November 21, 2016.
Ann was born in Rome on June 10, 1940 to the late Edward and Mary Dunn Murphy. She graduated from Rome Free Academy and worked at the Rome Police Department, before being united in marriage to James O. McKiernan, Jr.; a blessed union of 43 years until his passing on December 17, 2010.
Ann loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She liked to travel, sing, play bingo, and listen to music. She appreciated roses and African violets.
Ann is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Laura McKiernan of Seattle, WA; Lynn and Joseph Ngari of Seattle, WA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James McKiernan of Gaithersburg, MD, and Patrick and Nicole McKiernan of Bethel Park, PA; five grandchildren, Katelyn, Brady, Morgan, Caye, and River; two sisters, Marie Marsden and Betsy White; and two brothers, Tom and Ray Murphy. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bob and Ed Murphy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 9 - 10:00 a.m. at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Philip A. Hearn officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
