Alicia Lynn Mitchell, age 59, passed away unexpectedly, June 15, 2013.
She was born February 27, 1954, in New Jersey, a daughter of Sal and Marre Prestigiacomo. She later moved to New York State and graduated from Geneva High School. Alicia was a talented and accomplished artist. She also was very loving and generous, especially to her grandchildren.
Alicia is survived by her parents, Sal and Marre Prestigiacomo; three daughters and sons in law, Chiara and David Kingwater of Rome, Anna Duonolo and Robert Adams of Endicott, and Thomasina and William Giddings of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Nancy Prestigiacomo-Lewis of Lexington, NC, and Sabrina Prestigiacomo of Fontana, CA; four brothers, Farro Prestigiacomo of Montecito, CA, Mario Prestigiacomo of Reno, NV, Anthony Prestigiacomo of Long Beach, CA, and Giovanni Prestigiacomo of Newport Beach, CA; 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. She was predeceased by a brother, Dante Prestigiacomo.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 1 to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service.
