Gary W. Scales Sr., age 72, of Ava, passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born in Rome to the late Wayne and Shirley (Mandeville) Scales. He attended Camden High School. He enjoyed woodworking. Gary was retired from Revere Copper Products where he worked as a foreman.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Peggy; a daughter, Laurie Scales of Illion, three sons, Gary Scales II of Ava, Douglas Scales and wife Linda of Reading Kansas, Scott Scales and wife Laura of Lee Center, five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In keeping with Gary's wishes, funeral services will be private and burial will be held at the family's convenience.
There are no calling hours.
